Elrey L. Navarro, MD, DPCOM, RN, MMHA, FRSPH
Director for Medical Affairs, Training and Education
In joining AZCaliva Corporation as its Director for Medical Affairs, Training and Education, Dr. Elrey L. Navarro brings with him more than 20 years of remarkable professional medical experience both here and abroad.
Dr. Navarro has gained considerable work experience in the medical ﬁeld through his service and partnership with several institutions through the years. Currently, Dr. Navarro serves as a Consultant for Occupational Medicine at Okada Manila Hotel thru St. Luke’s Medical Center’s Comprehensive Occupational Health and Environmental Safety Services. He also partners with Philippine Nautical Training Colleges (PNTC) and Nautical Options Training Institute of the Philippines (NOTIP) as a part-time Maritime Health and Safety Course Assessor and Instructor, a medical position he has held since 2006. In addition, he is the Industrial Clinic Physician and part-Owner of Metro Specialists Diagnostics and Surgicenter.
His professional experience in Emergency Medicine, Maritime Health, and Occupational Medicine both internationally and locally has allowed him to further expand his capacity and medical skills. He has worked as a Medical Ofﬁcer for both Land and Remote Sites, servicing various corporate clients.
Dr. Navarro’s passion for the medical ﬁeld has also reached the academe as he continues to impart his knowledge as an Associate Professor at University of Perpetual Help – Jonelta Foundation School of Medicine.
Dr. Navarro has achieved many academic milestones. In 1999, he graduated with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Nursing at University of Santo Tomas in Manila. And in 2004, he was successfully awarded with his Doctor of Medicine degree at Far Eastern University – Dr. Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation (FEU-NRMF). He then served at Ospital ng Maynila as a Medical Intern for a year. Last June 2019, Dr. Navarro was conferred the degree of Master in Management Major in Health Administration (MMHA) at Philippine Christian University. He likewise pursued numerous certiﬁcations and training programs to further enhance his craft, including being a Diplomate, Philippine College of Occupational Medicine (DPCOM), and a Fellow Member (FRSPH) under The Royal Society for Public Health in London, United Kingdom.
